2011-07-19 The Environmental Protection Agency Adopted The Decision on The Project B9-2 Implementation Admissibility
On 18 July SE Ignalina NPP received the reasoned desicion on the admissibility of decontamination and dismantling of the INPP V1 Unit equipment (project B9-2) from the Environmental Protection Agency which is responsible for the process of environmental impact assessment.
Agency's decision is one of the documents validating the INPP request for the modification of conditions of valid license of Unit 1 operation No 12/99 (P). After the coordination of all the documents with VATESI and amendment of valid license conditions, Ignalina NPP will commence the dismantling of V1 Unit equipment according to the population, personnel and environment safety requirements.
