2011-10-26 INPP Was Allowed to Commence Implementation of Two Decommissioning Projects
On 19 October 2011 the conditions of Ignalina nuclear power plant‘s (INPP) Unit 1 decommissioning license were changed by the order of Head of State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate. The modification of license conditions allows the enterprise to commence INPP Unit 1 Turbine Hall equipment and Boiler House equipment dismantling and decontamination (projects B9/1 and B9/5). 2011-10-20 Ignalina NPP Effectively Uses Allocated Funds
Due to the fact that further financing of SE Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP) decommissioning process depends on the ability to use effectively already allocated funds, INPP is interested in the completion of Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility (project B1) and Solid Waste Management and Storage Facilities (project B234) construction in the shortest time and in the commencement of operation of these objects.
