2011-04-27 The Head of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant Has Been Replaced
On April 27 during the meeting of Government of the Republic of Lithuania the decision was made to appoint Žilvinas Jurkšus the new Director General of the State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP). Ž.Jurkšus is a physicist, he has led technical and technological management processes in large enterprises. He has been working at the INPP since 2010. Read more
2011-04-14 Ignalina and Chernobyl NPP Seek Closer Cooperation in the field of decommissioning
On 11-14 April, the Head of the SE Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP) Osvaldas Čiukšys together with the Head of Decommissioning Projects Management Service Sergej Abdulajev, the Head of Radioactive Waste Management Service Aleksandr Oryšaka and UP01 Project manager Aleksej Merežnikov visited Ukraine. The purpose of the visit was to consolidate present cooperation and discuss of new cooperation directions and potentials with Ukrainian decommissioning professionals. Read more
2011-04-05 The Completion Date of B1 Project Construction Works has been Pushed Back Because of the Contractors Default (Updated 07 04)
The works on the constructional part of B1 project (Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility – ISFSF), that should have been completed by 28 March, 2011, because of the contractors‘ failure to perform its obligations, are being postponed again (the constructional part of B1 project that should have been completed by the end of 2010, was rescheduled for March 2011).
