2012-11-16 Specialists Shared Their Experiences on Decommissioning Issues
On 13-14 November the meeting of specialists from Leningrad NPP, Chernobyl NPP, Ignalina NPP and Swedish Radiation Safety Authority was held at State enterprise Ignalina nuclear power plant (INPP). Decommissioning issues, technical issues of receiving licences and permits for the performance of decommissioning activities and working with foreign contractors companies issues were discussed during the meeting. Participants of the meeting focused on the radioactive waste management, discussed peculiarities of dealing with this issue in different countries. Read more

On 9 November 2012 the meeting of INPP specialists engaged in decommissioning projects B1 (Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility), B234 (Solid Waste Management and Storage Facilities), UP01 (INPP Unit 1 and 2 Reactor Dismantling and Decontamination Feasibility Study) and representatives of Russian "Experimental demonstration center of uranium-graphite reactors decommissioning" was held at SE Ignalina nuclear power plant.
