2012-03-30 The Meeting of Ignalina Programme Monitoring Comittee Was Held
Meetings of Ignalina Programme Monitoring Committee were held on 28 March in Vilnius and on 29 March at the State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP). During the meetings the progress of Ignalina NPP decommissioning process, as well as the efficiency of human resources, time and funds planning and management processes were assessed. Read more
2012-03-29 Ignalina NPP Continues Its Cooperation With The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration
To continue tradition of cooperation with Physical Security Organizing Service (PSOS) the experts from Sandia National Laboratories (USA) were visiting Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP) on March 26-28 in order to take part in tabletop training organized by INPP Guard Brigade under State Border Guard Service (SBGS). 2012-03-29 The final "Stress Tests" review report is being prepared
On 12-15 March the meeting for European nuclear power plants "Stress Tests" review was held during which nuclear safety experts from other EU member states prepared "Stress Tests" peer review report. During the visit in Lithuania, the experts met with State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate (VATESI) and INPP representatives in order to discuss the issues related to "Stress Tests" peer review report project. The final report is planned to release in the end of April 2012. According to the report, the recommendations implementation measures plan will be prepared. Read more
2012-03-02 Ignalina NPP Has Earned 1.3 Million Litas During The First Two Months Of The Year
During the first two months in 2012 the state enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP) has sold the property unnecessary for almost 1.3 million Litas(1 294 269 litas). Last year the enterprise earned similar amount of money but only during the six months. Read more
