The open meeting of Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania with the participation of the EU and NATO ambassadors on the subject "Ensuring Lithuania’s Energy Security: The Role of Nuclear Energy" was held on 19 September 2012 in Visaginas. The members of Committee of Foreign Affairs, the EU and NATO ambassadors, the representatives of Ministry of Energy, Ignalina NPP (INPP), Visaginas NPP, Hitachi and Visaginas municipality participated in the meeting. On 19 September 2012, Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania will hold an open meeting in Visaginas with the participation of the EU and NATO ambassadors on the subject "Ensuring Lithuania’s Energy Security: The Role of Nuclear Energy". During the meeting it is planned to discuss Ignalina NPP (INPP) decommissioning issues and Visaginas NPP project development issues. Read more
