The Ignalina NPP earned €1.7 million from decommissioning activities

In 2022, the State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant ("INPP") obtained an additional EUR 1,743 million from the sale of redundant assets and other commercial activities.

In 2022, 101 auctions were held, of which 79 auctions were held on the INPP AUIS website www.auis.iae.lt and 22 auctions on the special website of the State Enterprise Centre of Registers www.evarzytynes.lt. The enterprise generated additional revenues of EUR 1,423 million from the sale of 2,299.86 tonnes of scrap metal, EUR 0.164 million from the sale of other assets and EUR 0.156 million from rent and other services.

In 2023, auctions will continue to be conducted through the AUIS and SE Centre of Registers platforms, where 120 electronic auctions are expected to be held and around 4,300 tonnes of scrap will be sold.

In accordance with 25 November 2020. No 1-386 of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania "On transfer of funds received from the assets sold by the State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant", as of 1 December 2020, INPP transfers the income from the assets sold to the Lithuanian State Special Account of the Reserve (Stabilisation) Fund for construction of a deep geological repository and radioactive waste management.

In addition, at the request of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine, the INPP provided free humanitarian aid - fire-fighting materials (39.5% and 6% foam solution). In 2022, 366,530 tonnes were delivered. Humanitarian aid is provided in close cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and other institutions.
