The INPP presented progress

On January 23, Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP) was visited by Tim Gilroy, an expert in the field of civilian nuclear sector from the UK Department for International Trade, who is responsible for expanding the country's international trade.

The purpose of the visit was to meet with representatives of the Lithuanian nuclear energy sector and to get a closer look at the INPP decommissioning project.

During the meeting with INPP representatives Mr. Gilroy got acquainted with the general INPP decommissioning process, organization and technologies of dismantling and decontamination, successfully implemented projects and planned decommissioning works.

The expert visited the INPP to assess the extent of the work being carried out, as well as the scope of the work still to be done in the field of dismantling.
