The INPP provided gratuitous aid to Ukraine

We are proud to share the news that the SE Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (hereinafter – the SE INPP), considering the request of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, provided a humanitarian aid – the fire extinguishing material (39.5% foam solution) free of charge.

Before the present time, 60 tons of fire-extinguishing material were transported. In the initial phase, the SE INPP plans to aid Ukraine by transferring 245 tons of fire extinguishing material.

The humanitarian aid was provided in close cooperation with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, which organizes the aid transportation from the INPP to Polish logistics centers, and the Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, which coordinates actions with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

We sincerely thank and are proud of this welcome cooperation initiative between institutions. We also express our appreciation to public LLC „Kelių priežiūra“ for prompt cooperation in allocating plastic ton containers for the transportation of fire extinguishing material.
